This meter just paid for itself. My in floor propane heater stopped working so i tested the thermopile that tested good. Tested the thermostat and that tested bad using the mv setting. The meter locked on to the reading in a second. SAVED A SERVICE CALL OF $100.00. LOVE THIS METER. Paid for itself in two weeks

Fantastic unit — it is easy to hold and simple to use. I bought it to debug the cooling system in my vintage BMW. I was able to point this af various rubber hoses going to and from the radiator and the water pumps and get the temperatures I needed to figure out how well everything was working. Without a laser, it would have been a nightmare to do. I agree with one of the other viewers that it’s also great for checking cooking oil temp. Now if only it could check the inside of a piece of chicken or pork LOL!

Love this laser thermometer. I use it while grilling for checking my grate surface temp. I have also found it handy for balancing my second floor ducting from my heat pump. Accurate and easy to use.
