How to Set the High and Low Alarms on Your Infrared Thermometer
You can set both high and low temperature alarms to let you know when the temperatures you are measuring have exceeded a particular temperature range or threshold.
This can be very helpful when monitoring hot or cold processes such as frying, soap, candy or candle making or other projects where target temperatures either must be reached or should not be exceeded.
To set the alarm, simply use the red MODE button to cycle to the appropriate alarm you want to set. LAL for the Low Alarm and HAL for the High Alarm.
Once you have reached the alarm settings, simply use the arrow keys to set the temperature you want as your alarm threshold.
When this temperature is exceeded during scanning, the alarm will sound. Note that the alarm will only sound while the thermometer is in scan mode (trigger button pressed continuously.)
