Description
The eT650D Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer can be used to accurately and quickly measure surface temperatures, without making contact with the object you’re measuring. Use it in the kitchen for instant surface temperature measurements of food, pizza stones, oven walls, range top, frying pan or fryer oil, grill, refrigerator and freezer. Scan your home for insulation leaks, check the temperature of air conditioning and heating vents and water heater pipes. You can also use it for automotive diagnostics: check your cars cooling system, catalytic converter, brakes, and tires. Or check the ambient temperature of chicken coops, terrariums, and reptile enclosures. The uses are endless.
The eT650D measures temperatures in the range of -58°F TO 1202°F (-50°C to 650°C) with an accuracy of ± (1% of reading + 1°C/2°F) or ± 2°C/3.5°F, whichever is greater. Readings are taken instantly, in about half a second. You can take single readings, or continuously scan surfaces.
The IR thermometer comes with many advanced not found on other models such as max/min/average display, audible user-selectable alarm threhsholds (high and low) and adjustable emissivity. Adjusting the emissivity allows you to take more accurate measurements, especially when measuring shiny surfaces.
The product package includes a comprehensive user manual in four languages (EN, FR, DE, ES), a 9V battery and soft storage case (holster), and a NIST traceable calibration certificate. The eT650D is FDA, FCC, and CE compliant.

The ennoLogic eT650D temperature gun is is a dual laser infrared thermometer for accuracte non-contact surface temperature measurements. Simply point it at an object, pull the trigger, and it will tell you what temperature the surface of this object is within less than a second.
The eT650D measures surface temperatures over a wide range of -58°F and 1202°F (-50°C to 650°C) with a distance-to-spot ratio of 10:1. This means at a distance of 10 inches, the temp gun measures a circle of approximately 1 inch diameter.
If you’ve never used one of these before, you will soon discover lots of uses. You can use it in the kitchen to measure the surface temperature of food, pizza stones, and oven walls. Check the temperature of your range top, frying pan or fryer oil. Or measure the temperature of the content of your refrigerator and freezer. But remember that your infrared thermometer only measures surface temperatures, you can not use it to measure the inside temperature of a steak or roast, for instance. But you can use it to measure the temperature of your grill grate to make sure it’s at the right temperature before you put the meat on.
The eT650D infrared thermometer has a convenient scan feature. Holding the trigger button down will continuously update the temperature reading as you move the device over various areas. This makes it easy to scan for insulation leaks in your home. Scan across potential areas of poor insulation, such as gaps around doors and windows. Or check the temperature of heating and air conditioning vents. This allows you to verify that your air conditioning or heater is working. You can also use the thermometer to check the temperature of your water heater pipes.
And there’s a host of automotive uses too. You can use the temperature gun to check your cars cooling system, catalytic converter, brakes, and tires, and even identify misfires. Check out our article on automotive uses of the infrared thermometer for more details.
And if that’s not enough, here are some more “exotic” uses of this handy tool: soap making, candy making, chicken coops, terrariums, reptile enclosures and basking areas.
