Use it for HVAC DIY Work

Measure HVAC register flows in various rooms to help balance out your system.

This anemometer does not measure cfm directly, but you can use its Average function and an online conversion tool to estimate cfm from the air speed and size of your register or grille. If your vents are the same size, you can simply use air speed as a comparative relative measurement to balance air flow of your A/C. Or check air speed before and after improvements you made.

Eats batteries. I thought I had bad batteries but it turns out the device doesn't last on one battery. I put brand new batteries in it, turn it on, use it once, turn it off. If I try to use it again, it is dead. I have to put in a new battery to use it again.

Great for wind speed measurement before sailing.

Easy to use. I bought this for my husband's birthday. He's a weather buff and is enjoying messing with his anemometer. And he's been able to figure it out. Not exactly a electronic whiz kid. Great gift.

Purchased to use at the racetrack easy to use, only problem hard to read in direct sunlight.

Just got the meter. Very easy to use and switch between the different fields. Also if need be, it can be calibrated in every function except the barometer. I do want to test it outside. It uses LIR2032 batteries which are rechargeable. I found a charger and 2 batteries online for about $7. I have another wind meter but it gets stuck in different modes and runs the battery down even when turned off. It's not intuitive to reset and I have to hunt the manual if I haven't did it in a while.
